Love me.....please

My heart, it speaks a thousand words, I feel eternal bliss. The roses pout their scarlet mouths, like offering a kiss. No drop of rain, no glowing flame has ever been so pure, if being in love can feel like this then I am in love for sure.
Borrowed from the song 'O re chhorrey' in the movie Lagaan

Pain in the neck..............

The title of this very post has been the very topic of my google searches, since the past 2 days, I have been in a lot of pain in the cervical area and trust me it is bad ,by the time the night falls, the pain becomes unbearable . I have tried Iodex(Ooh, aah. Ouch), Combiflam, Acupressure, massages, sleeping without pillows, correction in my posture... you name it I have tried it but still so far no relief.

I wonder how could Enrique ever coin "The sweetest pleasure is pain"

Peace

3 × 500 miles…..away from home………..

The above is the very title of the very first song in English( It was a hymn to the lord, I later discovered) song I ever played on the keyboard (read my personal Yamaha PSS-290) and today as I type in, a lot of memories are relived, questions are answered and also new queries (reference made to MIS procedural queries in PL/SQL) are born.

As I ponder over the recent overtures that have taken place in my life I find my self sitting around 1500 miles away from home, away from my family , friends, from those about whom I care and vice versa . While my mobile recharges are becoming more and more frequent and my saving graph shows a steep dive (thanks to software, called Kharcha Pani), the picture portrayed, is not exactly quite pretty.

I am the only trainee here and I have been typing, typing and only typing (read as URS documentation including three days of MIS reports development) ever since I have been here. To be truthful, I am not exactly in an elated state. Things are not exactly going my way and I am some how not been able to tackle the work pressure, .........................(read as alot of miseries).........and of course M2,M3 and ED and I am sure you can gather about my overburdened state(of pity :-( ).

The shi(f)t goes on from 7 A.M. - 3 P.M. (flexible timings as per the TCS regulations) with only one lunch break in between life can get miserable especially if the food (read as sweet yellow dal, boiled potatoes with hell alot of chillies, sour rice and and papad like chapatis) served is not exactly what I may coin as the manadew for Rs.25/-only

Still when I look back , it seems this is just kid stuff to what I have actually faced in my life so till then all we have to do is belive in hope and keep the faith.
Peace
Jeet

500 MILES

If you miss the train I'm on, you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles,
a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles,
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

Lord I'm one, Lord I'm two, Lord I'm three, Lord I'm four,
Lord I'm 500 miles from my home.
500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles
Lord I'm five hundred miles from my home.

Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name
Lord I can't go a-home this a-way
This a-away, this a-way, this a-way, this a-way,
Lord I can't go a-home this a-way.

If you miss the train I'm on you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

Well , Well, Well

Well, the time is 2357hrs in my laptop’s watch while the mobile’s clock has already announced a new day, I am sitting all alone in my room (still in Ah’bad), I have been thinking /pondering over the following-

1. Why do people wear masks?
2. Does inviduality still exist in us?
3. Why do we blame the lord, for all our follies?
4. Is there something called the true love?
5. Why does hypocrisy exist on this planet?
6. Does love hurt? Here I choose to reframe my question in the point 4 as What is love? (Haddaway ;-))
7. Why do, the songs being played (randomly) mostly on radio (at times, I presume) take you in flashbacks?
8. Why did people cry while watching the movie “The Titanic”?
9. Why did the character of Askinov have to die in the story – God sees the truth but waits by Leo Tolstoy?
10. Why didn’t the people climb the very iceberg that hit the Titanic, causing its wreckage?
11. Would Miss. Simran Lamba ever take me as a good friend?
12. Where did Keerat go?
13. Will I ever be able to know all my relatives? Well they are in abundance, just like the opposite sex in my class, just about when you think, you know everyone, you have new pop ups in the inventory.
14. Am I a sadist?
15. Has some one suffered because of me?
16. Would I ever change? Rather, Have I ever changed? As far as I know, persistence has been my trademark.
17. Have I been an ideal friend?
18. Why is there war in the world?
19. Why am I interested in reading books, all of a sudden?
20. When will I die?
21. Will I have a painful death?
22. Is it right to use weapons for peace?
23. Was the war in Iraq necessary?
24. Should I leave India for better career prospects, will this be betraying your own country?
25. Is the Tata family really Indian? They are born abroad, they grow abroad, study abroad, shop abroad, while they are in India they eat imported food, live in lavish international hotels travel in imported cars and then its time for them to go back abroad, reasons: The cant stand the hot Indian summer.
26. Why was Ustad Bismillah Khan Sahib not given timely financial and much awaited Bharat Ratna award in time?
27. Is Benaras seriously a place, which is serene, where people of all communities live in harmony?
28. Is Osama Bin Laden another Bhindranwale?
29. Why do we experience peace and liberation at The Golden Temple at Amritsar?
30. Will I ever see Koharka?
31. Can the scientists actually bring the wooly mammoth back to life?
32. Wouldn’t it have been cool to have a T-rex as a pet?
33. When will people understand the Sikh turban is not a hat/cap but a part of their religious identity?
34. THE SIKHS ARE NOT TERRORISTS.
35. Its time to stop before I get emotional and get carried away.

Do feel free to send in your comments, may they will serve as an eye-openers for others and me!
Thanking you,
Jeet
