To have some one worth dying for..................

Just because some people do not
like me reading their blogs, they
wished that I were dead.
Still IJS takes it in the lighter vein
because still for some people,
friends are worth dying for.
May the light be the guiding path.
Amen!

Great Expectations

Hi ,yet once again . The college strike is over and the expelled trio ( Jaggi Elec.,Mavi and Mama I.T.) would most probably have their names back on the college rolls, all this commotion led me to ponder -

" WAS THIS STUDENT POWER OR A GROUP OF FRIENDS WHO SAVED THEIR BUDDIES".

Well according to me the second theory seemed quite appropriate and then again I ask my self " Would some one ever do something like this for me?" may be the expectations are high but still I wont mind being in the limelight (lol here comes more of Sodhi(sm)........... hehehehe ;-)), apart from these Great Expectations ( Charles Dickens,he is one of the greatest authors) life has been too calm and kind of splendid in a way lately ummmmmmm Tension free is the word and this reminds me of the title I was given on my 12th farewell at GJPS (2002 , sometimes I wish I should have studied while I had time I could have easily made it at PEC nevermind let the by gones be by gones NO use of crying over split milk. ) any ways they called me The Tension Free Tablet hahahahahahahhah still smile when I remember those good old days........................

I have tried my best to board my bus in time but most of the times I still have to end up driving all the way to college . But I do hope the things do change for my own good soon.

10 Things I MUST do before I die -:
1. See the pyramids
2. Get my self clicked in Europe ( The Eiffel tower Paris and The leaning tower of Pisa )
3. Learn to play the Tumbi ( esp. . Jugni )
4. Meet David Blaine ( if he is still there ..........;-) )
5. Tie my turban like Inderjit(Nikku)
6. Buy a good SUV ( truck from Ford or may be something from Hyundai ) and get a Sony Pentagon system with dynamite sealing.
7. Have kids, and let my elder son have the title of Tikka, something i could never actually implement because i was shy of people calling me Tikka and its other stupid versions.
8. Open an old age home for the old , where they would be welcomed and live life king size all on the house and a charitable hospital.
9. Get rid of my spectcles. "LASER"
10. Buy Dad brand new MERCEDES ( The latest model then....) ASAP

May GOD be on my side and I firmly believe that I CAN DO EVERYTHING!!!
Amen!

Freedom

Freedom

"Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake."

The Bully

The Bully

By Harjit Singh Lakhan

Racist ruffian, low-down scum
Foul mouthed thug do you think its

fun
To beet up a kid who's half your

size?
Knock his turban and punch his

eyes
He gets good grades and it makes

you sick
Turban-head's clever and you're so

thick.

You push and punch and steal his

lunch
You swing your fist his nose goes

crunch
Bleeding Paki! Bloody Paki!
Swear a lot then steal his money
Grab his arms - push him to the wall
Punch! Crunch! He takes the fall
Kick! Spit! Watch him crawl
Walk away from his crying call.

Lessons start at the school from hell
Classroom's more like a prison cell
Sitting in his blood stained clothes
Tears in his eyes and a busted nose
Bully boys don't stop their taunting
No teacher saw his daily haunting
No teacher said you're a lion Singh
Be BRAVE, be STRONG but never

give in
School bell rings:"Bye-Bye friends I

ain't coming to hell again!"

Running home as fast as he can
No one knows his secret plan
Up the stairs for freedom calls
He escapes from his body walls
Free at last from the violence
Hangs himself in deathly silence.

Where he ends we begin
Bullies won't kill another Singh
Unite as CHILDREN make the

change
Don't let things stay the same
We want freedom - no more crime
We want freedom all the time
No more Singhs will die this way
Unite as CHILDREN - fight them

today!

CHILDREN unite
It's time to fight
The Bully boys
The racist noise
Don't live in dread
Tell the teacher instead
You're not alone
Let your trouble be known

(dedicated to Vijay Singh, aged 13

who hanged himself at home after

being bullied at school)
